Record label A&R reps, promoters & club booking agents are always asking us what independent artists are the real deal. With more independent artists than ever before, A&R reps and club booking agents are flooded with more CD’s than they can possible review. 

The Independent Artist Registry was created to find and promote the nation’s most promising undiscovered artists directly to a quarter million of the music industry's top professionals.

Record labels frequently compete to sign up-and-coming artists that other labels are interested in. By referring a small number of undiscovered artists to a large number of record labels, the IAR is able to create a feeding frenzy. Unlike songwriting and band competitions, the IAR isn't looking for as many independent artists as possible, just those few who have the songs, talent, and total package record labels are looking for.

The IAR reviews the submissions from thousands of independent artists for those music pros.  Every artist receives a detailed review of their submission, complete with suggestions on how to improve. 

After the review process is completed, the IAR will select a limited number of independent artists to be inducted into the IAR and promoted to a quarter million of the music industry’s top professionals.

Artists inducted into the IAR join a very elite group of the nation's best up and coming performers and receive the following:

• A one year endorsement deal including a cover letter for their press kit.
• The artist’s one page summary sent to nearly every label’s A&R contact.
• A dedicated artist page on the IAR website including: artist's summary, bio, photo, contact information and a link to artist's site.
• An artist listing in the Music Phone Book.
• 6 month Broadjam MoB membership

The IAR reviews candidates for induction three times a year. In addition to the above, the top artist for each induction period will be presented with the prestigious INDIE AWARD and receive the following:

• Artist's physical demo submitted to most Record Label A&R reps. List of participating labels
• 1,000 CDs replicated for artist for free compliments of Disc Makers.
• Feature article on the artist included in the Music Phone Book.
• A one year Broadjam Primo Mob membership.

Artists inducted into the IAR retain full ownership of their songs and materials. The IAR does not take any percentage of any label deal arranged and members are not financially obligated to the IAR in any way. The primary goal of the IAR is to help independent artists get promoted to the music industry, and get them signed to a label. 

Its simple, the IAR help qualified and developed artists stand out from the thousands of part time artists currently performing.

Although there is no entry fee to be considered for the IAR, artists must meet the following requirements:

• Artist must perform a minimum of 30 shows a year - why
• Artist must have a website - why
• Artist must have a full length cd of original material - why
• Artist must have press kit - why
• Artist must be a MPB subscriber - why
